Each of our breeding dogs is DNA tested through Orivet, with breeding decisions guided by health, temperament, and long-term wellbeing rather than colour alone. While our dogs may vary in appearance, they share the same foundation: sound genetics, balanced temperaments, and lives spent as part of our family. Rosie

Black & White Female · DNA Tested · Scenic Collies

Rosie is a classic black and white Border Collie female with a steady presence and a sensible, grounded nature. She represents the traditional strength of the breed — clear-headed, adaptable, and quietly confident.

Rosie is DNA tested through Orivet and is clear for all inherited conditions tested, with the exception of being a carrier for Adult Onset Deafness (EAOD – research variant only). Being a carrier does not affect Rosie’s health, and this variant is managed responsibly through careful mate selection. She is not affected and will not produce affected offspring when bred appropriately.

Temperament-wise, Rosie is composed and reliable. She is comfortable in a range of environments, thoughtful in her interactions, and has a strong off-switch. Rosie thrives on routine and connection, making her a stable and reassuring presence within our program.

Rosie contributes type, temperament, and depth to Scenic Collies. She reflects our commitment to breeding dogs with longevity, soundness, and emotional resilience — qualities that matter long after colour has faded into the background.

 Teddy

Brown (Chocolate/Liver) Merle Male · DNA Tested · Scenic Collies

Teddy is a striking merle male with a soft, light-toned coat and a gentle, thoughtful nature. While his colouring is often described visually as “lilac-toned,” genetically his coat is the result of merle expression on a brown (chocolate/liver) base rather than dilution. His appearance is eye-catching without being exaggerated, supported by a calm and steady presence.

DNA testing through Orivet confirms Teddy is genetically brown-based (liver/chocolate), merle, and non-dilute. He does not carry dilution. His breeding outcomes are determined by verified genotype rather than visual phenotype alone, which allows for accurate and responsible colour prediction.

Teddy has green eyes with subtle blue sectoring in one eye (sectoral heterochromia), a cosmetic feature commonly seen in merle dogs and not associated with any health concern.

Temperament-wise, Teddy is steady, social, and people-focused. He has an excellent off-switch in the home, enjoys being part of family life, and interacts appropriately with children and other dogs. He combines confidence with softness, making him an easy dog to live with.

In our breeding program, Teddy contributes predictable genetics, sound health testing, and a balanced, liveable temperament. He represents our commitment to transparency, education, and ethical breeding practices, with health and temperament always prioritised above colour.

 Evie

Orange & White Female · DNA Tested · Scenic Collies

Evie is a warm, thoughtful orange and white female with a soft expression and an affectionate, people-oriented temperament. She brings an easy calm to everyday life while remaining engaged and responsive — a lovely balance of sensitivity and steadiness.

DNA testing through Orivet confirms Evie is clear for all inherited conditions tested within the Border Collie breed profile. She is non-merle and non-dilute, with classic Border Collie colouring and a double coat suited to both active and family lifestyles.

Evie’s temperament is one of her strongest assets. She is intuitive, gentle with children, and socially appropriate with other dogs. She enjoys being close to her people and has a natural ability to settle, making her a joy both in busy environments and quiet moments at home.

In our breeding program, Evie contributes emotional stability, sound health testing, and consistent type. She embodies the kind of dog we believe Border Collies should be — connected, capable, and a pleasure to live with.

 Luna

Blue / White Female · DNA Tested · Scenic Collies

Luna is a genetically blue (dilute black) and white female with a calm, intuitive temperament and a naturally nurturing presence. She brings a quiet steadiness to our program and interacts thoughtfully with both people and other dogs.

Luna’s dilute status is supported by phenotype and parentage. She displays blue pigmentation in her nose and gums and was bred from a slate merle sire and a lilac and white dam, meaning dilute is inherited from both parents.

Luna recently welcomed her first litter with Teddy and has stepped into motherhood with confidence. She is attentive, relaxed, and instinctively responsive to her puppies throughout early development.

When paired with Teddy, a non-dilute merle male, Luna’s puppies will not express blue or lilac colouring. Some puppies may carry dilute, but colour outcomes remain predictable and DNA-consistent.

Luna’s role in our program centres on maternal strength, emotional stability, and transparency in colour inheritance.
