At Scenic Collies, we breed Border Collies with family life in mind.

Our appreciation for the breed goes beyond its working ability. While Border Collies are widely known for their intelligence and drive, we value them just as deeply for their sensitivity, intuition, and desire to connect closely with their people.

Our dogs are raised in a home environment and are part of everyday family life. They grow up alongside children, experience normal household sights and sounds, and are included in daily routines. This close involvement allows us to truly know each dog as an individual and to prioritise temperament, emotional wellbeing, and stability just as strongly as physical health and structure.

Border Collies are often described as a breed that cannot settle without constant work. Our lived experience has shown us something different. When given clarity, inclusion, and a sense of purpose through companionship, Border Collies can be remarkably calm, adaptable, and deeply connected family dogs.

We see this reflected in our own dogs every day — in their ability to read the room, offer quiet comfort when it’s needed, and simply be present during both busy and challenging moments. This natural emotional awareness is something we value deeply and strive to preserve through careful, ethical breeding choices.

As a certified, responsible breeder, we are committed to raising puppies who are healthy, well cared for, and supported from the very beginning. With our whole family involved, each puppy receives gentle handling, affection, and early exposure to family life throughout their first eight weeks, helping them transition confidently into their new homes.

All of our breeding dogs are Orivet DNA tested and cleared of relevant breed-specific genetic conditions. Health reports are available upon request.

Breeding Numbers & Welfare Commitment

Animal welfare always comes first at Scenic Collies. We strictly limit our breeding numbers and never exceed 10 breeding females, regardless of species, under our care.
